May 23, 2013 Lorelai became a big sister! Hadley Jeanette has no idea what a blessing and miracle she is! So thankful to have her and have her sister watching over her. No complications from preeclampsia or HELLP Syndrome this time!

To all the mother’s who have loved and supported their kids through thick and thin, no matter what, or how old they get!

To all the mother’s who have worried about their kids!

To all the mother’s who have had to grieve and continue to grieve for their angels!

To all the future mothers, who we hope never have to say goodbye to their children!

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!

On Saturday, May 12th, we walked in the 1st Annual Portland Promise Walk for Preeclampsia! It was great to be part of a cause that is dedicated to bringing  awareness to Preeclampsia & HELLP Syndrome. Our team raise $315 this year for the Preeclampsia Foundation!

We had 11 people join Team Lorelai’s Legacy. We all had a fantastic time at the walk. Brentt and I would like to thank each of our team members for being a part of our team! And everyone who donated to Team Lorelai’s Legacy. We are blessed to have great family and friends who support us through our continued journey.

At the walk, they were raffling off many different things. We figured, why not buy a couple of tickets and take a chance on a few things that caught our eyes. Three members of Team Lorelai’s Legacy won!!

I won a $50 voucher for a haircut at Picasso in Lake Oswego! (I’m super excited since I need a haircut.)

Brentt won 3 stainless water bottles that are really nice! And Tom & Shirley won a Regal Cinema gift card (not pictured). Our team was really lucky on Saturday 🙂

Thanks again to everyone who walked with us or donated to our team. We are looking forward to expanding our team for the 2013 Portland Promise Walk!

As many of you know, our life was taken down an unexpected path last April due to HELLP Syndrome. On May 12th, 2012, Brentt and I are participating in The Promise Walk in Portland, Oregon to raise awareness and money for the Preeclampsia Foundation. The Preeclampsia Foundation’s mission is to reduce infant and maternal illness and death due to hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. Hopefully one day soon they will be able to determine the cause of preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome.

Brentt and I formed a team called “Lorelai’s Legacy”. We would love to have more people walk for this cause with us, but understand if you aren’t able to. If you would still like to help, feel free to donate as you can….$5.00, $10.00, anything helps no matter how small!

Walk Information:

• Cost is $20 for adults, $10 for kids (and that includes a shirt for you) ($25 if you register at the walk)
• 3K walk / 5K fun run
• Held at Oaks Park in “The Grove” picnic area, 7805 SE Oaks Park Way, Portland, OR
• Walk Day Schedule: 8:30am – Registration, 9am – Pre-walk program, 10am – Walk begins
• Oaks Amusement Park is offering Deluxe Bracelets to their park for $15.00 and a portion of the proceeds goes directly to benefit the Portland Promise Walk for Preeclampsia. Let me know if you are interested and I can get you more details on how to register for these.
